A strategic alliance which seeks to be a reference for governments and companies. Interligare and Atos Origin reach a strategic agreement to revolutionize the scientific intelligence systems offer in the global market. May 03rd, 2010
Atos Origin, an international information technology services company offering global high-technology transaction services, consultancy, system integration and outsourcing, and INTERLIGARE, a research, design and development (R+D+D) company with a continuous innovation model centred around Scientific Intelligence which exploits its assets by means of transferring and enhancing the value of the same through a worldwide network of associates, have reached a strategic market agreement. By virtue of this agreement, Atos Origin has become Interligare’s IT System Partner for Spain.
Atos Origin’s National Security strategy includes a series of disciplines or subjects, of which Intelligence constitutes one of the fundamental pillars. In the last few years Intelligence has reappeared to confront new threats, to minimize risk and to anticipate the capacity to react by suitable management of the same. Intelligence is currently considered to be one of the most important disciplines and is unquestionably one that can contribute to minimizing risks in the present-day world.
The object of the agreement is to provide, install, configure, integrate, train and offer added value services around Scientific Intelligence platforms and IT support systems. By means of this agreement, both companies will jointly deploy Scientific Intelligence solutions fundamentally based on nowIS systems and platforms (Normalized Wide spectrum Scientific Intelligence Systems), whose configuration and design are adapted to the current and future needs of state, supra-state, regional and local governments, as well as companies that operate in strategic, innovative sectors such as finance, energy and those related to other basic services aimed at members of the public (law and order, health, the environment, etc.).
With respect to the benefits of such solutions, it should be noted that they offer a clear, advanced intelligence model system, allowing the identification and planning of all the informational elements that are essential for consumers of intelligence, as well as the simultaneous visualization of large data sets thereby facilitating the identification of possible relations and/or links through models and simulations, providing new techniques to prevent “surprises” in Intelligence, and to reinforce national and corporate security.
Francisco Calvo, Member of Atos Origin’s Executive Committee and Public Sector Director, considers that "this agreement increases the power of Atos Origin’s National Security strategy as Interligare’s platforms, which are considered to be at the forefront of Intelligence R&D+i at world level, can be included in Atos Origin’s own solutions. These platforms will allow Atos Origin to tackle and construct Investigation and Intelligence solutions in the widest aspect of public or private sector business activities. Among these are taxation or customs investigations, support for foreign diplomacy, strategic environmental alert studies, police investigation support systems, surveillance and early detection systems, the investigation of all kinds of activities, etc."
For his part, Alexandre Hermida, General Manager of INTERLIGARE, assured that, “the added value contributed by INTERLIGARE to this agreement is notably high and, for the partner, implies a top-level competitive advantage with respect to those who today only offer partial solutions (ICT consultancy or solutions). INTERLIGARE is committed to consolidate a synergy network orientated towards the development of global services and businesses, without possible canal conflicts, offering proactive support to the development of its partners’ businesses. Atos Origin is, for its professionalism and market competitively, the best partner that we could have in this phase of our growth”.
In essence this agreement is centred on two complementary companies, focused on satisfying their clients and with a high predisposal to adapt to circumstances, to the market and to opportunities. Similarly, INTERLIGARE and Atos Origin propose to collaborate in joint R&D projects in state and community environments.
